Polly Silva

Polly is our main body piercer and the go-to person for ear curations. She’s been piercing for over 9 years, and it shows — not just in her work, but in how comfortable she makes everyone feel.
She’s calm, confident, and really good at reading people, so even if you come in nervous, you won’t be for long. Polly loves creating ear setups that actually fit you, not just what’s trendy. You’ll leave feeling taken care of and really happy you trusted her.

Chase Steptoe

If you’ve spent time around The Empire Tattoo, you’ve probably seen Chase walking around with his camera. As the shop’s photographer and videographer, he’s responsible for capturing much of the content you see on our pages.

Now, Chase is taking the next step at The Empire by starting his piercing apprenticeship, learning the craft while continuing to document the shop behind the lens.

What You Need to Know
At our studio, your safety and comfort come first. To ensure a smooth experience, here’s everything you need to know before getting pierced:

Age & ID Requirements

Adults (18+): A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport, or state/federal ID) must be presented. Expired IDs are only accepted if physically punched/stamped by the DOL and accompanied by temporary paperwork.
Minors (Under 18): Must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian. Both the minor and guardian must provide proof of age and relationship:
- Matching last names on IDs (state, federal, or passport) OR
- A birth certificate if last names differ (for parents).
- Legal guardians must provide adoption papers, court orders, or power of attorneyconfirming full guardianship.

Minimum Age Guidelines
We prioritize age-appropriate piercings for safety:

Earlobes: 5+
Cartilage: 13+
Facial Piercings: 15+
Belly Button: 14+
Nipples/Intimate Areas: 18+
